Media Appearances

& Speaking

“Most days, my job is to sit in the middle of tension: between legal frameworks and creative goals, between innovation and protection, between what’s possible and what’s legal.”

MEDIA
APPEARANCES

When I speak, I like to push at the edges—

because the law doesn’t operate in a vacuum.

I regularly feature as a commentator on broadcast media including the BBC — trusted to explain complex topics like deepfakes, intellectual property infringement, and reputational risks in a clear, accessible way. As a sole practitioner, I’m not bound by a corporate law firm’s messaging. I have the freedom - and, in my view, also a responsibility - to address uncomfortable questions. Because we have to start somewhere.

SPEAKING

It’s shaped by power, by money, by cultural norms and commercial pressure. And too often, those forces go unspoken in public conversation.

Before we can talk about contracts, rights, or regulation, we need to be honest about what’s really at stake.

What are we trying to protect? What do we fear?

What are we already trading away without realising?
