UN Report: How the AI boom could send some countries bust

The UN Development Programme warns that Artificial Intelligence may exacerbate existing wealth inequalities between nations and could create the “next great divergence”. The AI revolution is advancing at a pace with an AI bubble growing but not all nations are part of this boom. Wealthier nations, which are already starting to lead the way in AI, have the critical infrastructure to support technology but those lacking consistent energy distribution, internet connectivity and tech skills could miss out, and may even be left behind. With developed countries already having a head-start, could this drive global progress, or simply set the terms of it?
